New taxes on sports activities in Denmark
As you probably heard on the news, our social media or the last newsletter, from 2026 on there will be moms/VAT on all commercial sports activities in Denmark, in accordance with EU regulations.
What this means
From January 1st, moms on any yoga class, dance class, fitness studio visit, or similar sports activity will change from currently 0% to 25%. That means that you have to pay 25% more for all those visits, class tickets and memberships. Unfortunately, Rört is not an exception and we have to add moms to our prices, too.
With those new prices with moms included, Rört will not earn any more money, we just have to deal with extra administration work and the accounting mess. We also did a pretty tight calculation, adjust the prices as little as possible. This is not great news, but like all other studios in the country we have to follow the new rules.
What this means for you
Any class ticket, membership, Klippekort, sauna visit, event or workshop ticket you buy from January 1st on will include moms and thus have a higher price.
When a membership renews in the new year, it will also renew with the new moms-included price!
Anything you buy before that date, will – just like it has been so far – be without moms. As an example, that means also UBERÖRT tickets bought in December for next summer’s festival will still be without moms, or if you buy a 6-months prepaid membership, that will be without moms. Read more below under “Prices for the Prepaid membership packages”.
One exception: Younger than 30 years old
The government has decided people younger than 30 will NOT have to pay MOMS, while those of 30 years and older will pay moms. That is why we will offer moms-free memberships and class tickets for that age group, and you have to enter a correct birthdate, your address and full name in your Rört account to purchase those.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to your account on https://rort.yogo.dk
- Click on “Edit Profile” on top right, and check/complete your full name, address and birth date.

If you are older than 30 years: Tax deduction
The government has also decided that if you are 30 years and above, you can deduct some of those expenses up to ca 1700 DKK and get approximately 400 DKK back in taxes per year. This is something you will have to do yourself when reporting your expenses to SKAT – so remember to save all your invoices for documentation and talk to your accountant if needed.
Membership prices with moms from Jan. 1st 2026
- Full membership: 699 DKK, or 599 DKK if below 30 years
- Student/Activist membership: 549 DKK, or 499 DKK if below 30 years
- 4+1 Classses membership: 469 DKK, or 399 DKK if below 30 years
💡Prices for the Prepaid membership packages
You can also save money by buying a prepaid membership. You will get the discount for the prepaid package and you will not pay moms for all the months you have prepaid.
The prices listed here are only valid until end of December, and from January will increase with moms as well.
For example, our Full Rört Membership:
Monthly price with moms for over 30 year olds from January 2026: 699,- DKK,
for three months = 2.097,-
for 6 months = 4.194,-
for 12 months = 8.388,-
for 24 months = 16.776,-
Current monthly price until end of 2025: 599,- DKK
- Prepaid package for 3 months 1.700,- DKK
- Prepaid package for 6 months: 3.300,- DKK
- Prepaid package for 12 months: 6.600,- DKK
- Prepaid package for 24 months: 13.000,- DKK
