YOGA TEACHER TRAINING(100 Hours - Spring 2023)

THIS TRAINING IS FOR EXPERIENCED and dedicated yoga practitioners and teachers. In the training you will deepen not only your physical practice (asana, pranayama and meditation), but also your understanding of yoga and buddhist philosophy and develop your ability to teach in a way that touches and transforms other people. While the training will evolve around yoga, we also warmly invite people with other movement backgrounds to join and learn how to bring the heart of yoga into their field or practice.

YOUR PERSONAL GROWTH is at the core of the training. We simply believe that only what is embodied in you through a disciplined practice and a deep understanding, will make a difference in your own life as well as inspire others. To create space for your personal growth, half of the training will be taught over two retreats in the Swedish forest. This will provide a focus for the practice and allow for the teaching to get embodied honestly, helping you to find your unique and clear voice.

THE COMMUNITY IS KEY in yoga in general and in Rört’s philosophy in particular. During the training there will be an emphasis on how you can create and lead communities, in your classes and beyond. There will also be a strong encouragement to build connections to the other participants through practice, shared reflections and honest feedback.

COURSE FORMAT & DATES

THE TEACHER TRAINING IS A TOTAL OF 100 HOURS, with additional homework consisting of practice, inquiries and reading. The training is divided between 60 hours on the retreat place in Sweden, just 4 hours by car from Copenhagen, with lakes, deep forest, sauna and the occasional moose, and the remaining hours of training in Rört Studio (Vermundsgade 13, Copenhagen)*. The training is taught in English.

APPLICATION PROCESS

APPLICATION FOR SPRING 2023 IS OPEN for dedicated and experienced practitioners and due to the intensity of the training you are expected to be in a physical condition that allows for full participation in the practices. If you are in doubt about this, please send us an email and we will take the conversation from there. If you want to join the teacher training, send us an application e-mail (via the “Click here to apply” button) where you describe:

  1. Your previous experience with yoga (practice and/or yoga teacher trainings)
  2. Your motivation for applying (Why do you join and what expectations do you have?)

Once we have received your application we will write you back with a direct link for the final sign-up process and payment. We accept applications on a rolling basis in the order we received them, and will close the process as soon as all spots are filled.

THE PRICE FOR THE 100 hour training (including the two retreats with food and accommodation) is 17.500,- DKK. Members of Rört get a 2.500,- discount. For the payment process details and the cancellation policy, please read our terms and conditions.

YOU WILL GET A RÖRT (100 hours) Yoga Teacher Training™ CERTIFICATE after the training, if you have attended a minimum of 85 % of the course. Rört has for various reasons – and like many other studios in Copenhagen – decided not to register with the Yoga Alliance.

TEACHERS & CURRICULUM

THE MAIN TEACHER ON THE TRAINING is Jeppe Skovgaard (the founder and director of Rört). Jeppe has an extensive experience as a teacher and community pioneer (inside yoga, parkour and acroyoga) and has taught workshops, teacher trainings and retreats all over Europe and Asia. In the training you will further meet different guest teachers – each one an expert in their specific fields to allow for in-depth studies and fresh perspectives.

THE CURRICULUM FOR THE TRAINING is put together from various yoga and buddhist resources and will be a mixture of books, essays, podcasts and poems. Once you are enrolled for the training, you will receive a list of resources (must-read and nice-to-read), so that you can already start your studies and dive into the material.
